So you know what makes working retail during the holidays even better?

Getting hit on by a friendly drunk guy while his kinda tipsy wife/girlfriend is going on about needing a green bean casserole holder.

Ahh, the life of SuperTarget.

Merry Christmas !!!!!!!

now since I probably wont be writing again til after. Now I'm off to brave the masses and shop.

Oh how I love working retail during the Holiday season.

In other more fabulous news, tomorrow I can legally drink, A-Woo-Hoo! I am also paying a crap load of money for a total stranger to impale me with much pain with a fun little needle for an extended period of time. I can't wait!

La la la. I'm also way excited to finally get to see wicked. The mother unit is pretty awesome for getting me tickets for the b-day. However, I am not looking forward to walking from the station to the theatre in the cold. Boo to Chicago and northern Illinois weather in general. Why can't I just have the pretty snow without the cold?

Well that's all for now, off the enjoy some more of my Smallville seasons. Oh do I love when my place of business has good sales.

A zombie statue scared the crap out of me

Oh xanga.

It has definitely been a long time since I have visited/updated you. If I cared more about you or thought that people actually read and cared about what is written here, maybe if would be more often. Probably not though. I have to seriously be in the mood to sit here and add an entry or be really bored and in an insomniac state of mind as I am in right now.

Seriously, people, it is 4:00 in the morning and I am wide awake. I blame the evils of working a few overnights at the business that is SuperTarget. It was fun while I was there, since I am more of a night person anyways, but it seriously screwed me over I think. Today is now Monday. Last Friday through Monday, I closed at work, then had Tuesday off then worked overnights Wed, Thurs, and Friday. Not that anyone wants to know my work hours, but it is now Monday and I am still in crazy stay up all night mode which sucks and is not helpful now that I am back to regular hours. Oh well. I did get to decorate my white christmas tree.  (I say "my" because I decorated the white one last year. We have a special bond)

I claimed the hideously, over the top, all white tree because it is that ugly and awesome. My fellow wonderful coworkers Beverly and Zach helped me in this endevour and I must say that we rocked. Our tree was also the scary demon tree. Our boss commented that the designs on our ornaments looked like creepy demon faces and it all took off from there. (This would be the same boss that also wore the crystal dangler ornaments as earrings. ) Also, one of our snowflakes, we twisted into the shape of a scorpion and placed it on top. We also had penguin ornaments and one unfortunate penguin is now under eternal attack from said scorpion. All we needed now was two glowing red lights to finish, but alas that was not to be found.

Not a whole lot has been going on. The summer was good, Lollapalooza was awesome, my cousin is pregnant - yea for them!, I am trying to unsuccessfully save money for my b-day tattoo and christmas wonderfulness galore, had my car in the paper for rolling it over on the side of Randall Rd, got said car fixed and rocking out again, obviously still working and not yet back at school. Blah for important life decisions. I think I will go live with the gypsys and sing and dance in merryment.

Fear can sometimes be a useful emotion. For instance, let's say you're an astronaught on the moon and you fear that your partner has been turned into Dracula. The next time he goes out for the moon pieces, wham!, you just slam the door behind him and blast off. He might call you on the radio and say he's not Dracula, but you just say, "Think again, bat man." ~ Jack Handy

Now for another wonderful story from the world of super target that shows my extreme gracefulness (or lack of would be more appropriate)

It is the end of a nice warm but windy April work day. Well, almost the end; there is about a half hour left. I walk back to the fixture room with my team lead, Paul, to help him put some boxes up above the shelving unit. There are quite a few boxes so this is a two person job, and I was glad to help and get away from putting product away out in the aisles. I bring the wave into the fixture room for Paul. (the wave is a motorized vehicle thing with a shelf/tray on the front that lets you ride around going up and down and whatnot) I then climb the ladder all the way to the top of the shelving unit while Paul is getting boxes to send up. All is going along fine on its merry little way. I'm walking around and climbing over boxes and moving them to make room when I have to step over a rather wide box to get to an empty space. I do this without incident, but then I take another step and my foot completely falls through a space in the top shelf part. So there I am completely unharmed (except for an unfortunately ugly bruise that is now appearing on my leg) with my body and left leg still on the shelf and my right leg is dangling below me between these shelves in the evil canyon of a space. After the shock and hilarity wore off, I pulled myself out quite successfully and am glad to report that I did not have to lose any appendages in this unfortunate mishap. And after, I got to ride back down to the ground on the wave shelf/tray thing instead of having to climb back down the ladder. I think it made up for the bruise.

So there's my story, and now I'm off the hydrate myself.

Words of Wisdom: It is unwise to try to make friends with a jellyfish. It doesn't work and will most likely end with someone having to pee on you. Not very appealing
